We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to lead the cost management and estimating for engineering services across major construction and infrastructure projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute cost professional to step into a senior leadership role, shaping key outcomes on complex projects and mentoring emerging talent within a collaborative environment.

About the Role:

As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and detailed cost plans for infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, tailings, civils, and NPI. You will also lead pre- and post-contract cost management services on high-value projects, providing technical leadership, strategic advice, and ensuring commercial best practices are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and detailed cost plans for infrastructure projects.
  • Lead pre- and post-contract cost management services on high-value projects.
  • Provide guidance on procurement strategies, risk management, and value engineering.
  • Conduct benchmarking, feasibility studies, and design cost analysis.
  • Review contractor claims, variations, and manage progress assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to drive project outcomes.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have professional qualifications in engineering, quantity surveying, building services, or construction management, along with extensive experience (10+ years) in cost estimation and management of engineering services. They will also possess strong technical understanding of building services systems across sectors, as well as the ability to lead complex projects with minimal supervision.
