We are seeking individuals for a Theatre Assistant role at Queensland Health.

The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with patient transportation, maintaining equipment used in patient care, participating in emergency situations, and communicating effectively with theatre staff.

  • Key responsibilities:
    • Assist with patient transportation from various hospital locations
    • Maintain equipment used in patient care, reporting faults and documenting for repair
    • Participate in emergency situations, repositioning patients, collecting equipment, running bloods, and setting up equipment as required
    • Communicate effectively with theatre staff

To be successful in this position, you will require:

  • A relevant qualification (desirable)
  • Up-to-date manual handling skills
  • Evidence of vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, and COVID-19
  • Tuberculosis screening
  • Declaration of serious discipline history
