Job Title: Musculoskeletal Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Musculoskeletal Imaging Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. As a specialist in this field, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to radiographers and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide clinical specialist services within the Radiology department, utilising clinical expertise in musculoskeletal imaging. You will assist the General Section manager radiographer in the orientation and training of radiographers and Medical Radiation Scientist students in the speciality of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics. You will also oversee the coordination of workflow from clinical areas/departments, including theatres, to ensure maximum throughput and utilisation within a given work area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical expertise in musculoskeletal imaging within Radiology and support imaging procedures in Orthopaedics.
  • Assist in orientation and training of radiographers and Medical Radiation Scientist students in Rheumatology and Orthopaedics.
  • Coordinate workflow across clinical areas/departments to maximise throughput and utilisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent.
  • Holder of NSW EPA Radiation Licence and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive knowledge, expertise and experience within Orthopaedics, including procedures and imaging equipment.
