Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for servicing fire alarm systems, testing fire protection systems, and programming fire panels and cabling.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems in accordance with industry standards.
  2. Test, service, and repair fire safety systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Document maintenance activities accurately using handheld technology.
  4. Inspect and maintain fixed fire systems, including fire indicator panels, to prevent potential hazards.
  5. Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and timely support.
  6. Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision, ensuring seamless project execution.
  7. Stay updated with industry developments and Australian Standards to provide innovative solutions.
  8. Report progress and performance regularly to stakeholders.
  9. Adhere to ethical standards and company policies, including HSEQ guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a Fire Technician with knowledge of Australian Standards for fire protection systems.
  • Electrical 'A' Grade license; EHAL advantageous.
  • FPAS accreditation and Cabling license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Unrestricted work rights and a valid driver's license.
  • Construction industry white card or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Strong prioritization skills and customer service attitude.
