Senior Mental Health Professional

The Senior Mental Health Professional plays a pivotal leadership role within the Older Person's Mental Health team, guiding a diverse, multidisciplinary team in delivering care that is person-centred, evidence-informed, and grounded in recovery principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with clinical expertise, empathy, and insight to support recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally safe care across community, residential, and inpatient settings.
  • Provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and coordination in the delivery of high-quality mental health services to older people (65+ or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 50+) experiencing complex mental health issues.
  • Carry a clinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service.

For this role, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate clinician who can work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. They will also have experience working with older adults, particularly those with cognitive impairment or dementia.
