Position Overview:
The Fixed Plant Electrician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of Bingo's electrical systems and machinery. This position involves performing inspections, executing preventative maintenance, and addressing breakdowns effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work based at the Eastern Creek facility.
- Full-time employment with a standard workweek of 38 hours.
- Availability of overtime hours.
- Utilize CMMS to identify faults and conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, motors, switch gears, and related equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, electrical codes, and schematics to facilitate troubleshooting and repairs.
- Diagnose and rectify issues in malfunctioning systems using appropriate testing equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance through thorough inspections of electrical systems and components.
- Maintain precise and current maintenance records.
- Test electrical systems and ensure continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Guide and mentor other tradespeople and apprentices in electrical installations and repairs.
- Engage in additional electrical projects as necessary.

Candidate Requirements:
- Possession of an Industrial Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- 2-3 years of experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Must have personal tools for the role.
- A proactive attitude and dedication to customer service.
- Experience in the waste management sector is advantageous.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
