Position Overview:
The Transportation Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the daily logistics and delivery functions of the organization. Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, this position ensures that the distribution of goods is executed efficiently and professionally, maintaining a strong emphasis on Safety, Service, Cost, and Teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and oversee transportation tasks, including the movement of products and personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to facilitate seamless transportation processes.
  • Maintain and update transportation records and databases with precision.
  • Act as the main contact for transportation-related questions from internal teams.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments, including warehouse and customer service, to enhance transportation efficiency.
  • Authorize contractor payments and invoices.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, manifests, and return orders.
  • Streamline transportation schedules to improve efficiency and minimize costs.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience of 2+ years in transport and logistics, though not mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office, along with experience in ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Proven multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.

Additional Information:

  • This is a permanent full-time role.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
