Job Title: Clinical Emergency Services Officer

We are seeking enthusiastic team members to join our Security & Emergency Services (SEM) Team. Reporting to the Eastern Mines SEM Supervisors, this is a unique opportunity to further develop your leadership experience and progress with ongoing career opportunities through our HSS and SEM pathways.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to mine site emergencies.
  • Maintain operational emergency response equipment.
  • Complete drug and alcohol testing.
  • Assist the site HSS team to execute a variety of health and safety related projects.
  • Provide a high standard of pre-hospital emergency care, adhering to clinical standards, accurately completing documentation, and applying the correct operational procedure in response to the situation presented.

Requirements:
  • AHPRA Registration (Paramedic or RN) – current with no conditions or restrictions which would impact Scope of Clinical Practice attainment and practice
  • Must meet the requirements to achieve and maintain approved SOCP at Paramedic or RN level within WAIO operations.
  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue, or Public Safety or equivalent / higher is a must.
  • Rescue experience in firefighting, on-road ambulance, defence forces or other emergency services.
  • Comprehensive technical understanding of risk management and/or operational mining experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and interaction experience with personnel, patients, or customer service.
