Job Overview

We're seeking a seasoned electrical engineer to play a pivotal role in driving the transition to renewable energy solutions.

This is an opportunity for you to leverage your expertise in designing and engineering power facilities, battery energy storage systems, and balance of plant design for renewable generation.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute projects related to renewable power facilities.
  • Develop detailed specifications, scope of work documents, and engineering design reports.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to integrate renewable energy sources, energy storage, and emerging technologies into transmission and distribution networks.
  • Provide technical support to project managers and clients, addressing technical queries, resolving issues, and ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Create detailed drawing packages in conjunction with the drafting team for renewable generation balance of plant design.
  • Evaluate distribution infrastructure conditions and identify areas for improvement through site visits and inspections.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in a consulting, development, or power utility environment.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards related to power, such as AS2067 and AS/NZS 3000.
  • Experience in power design fields, including building services, mining, LV or MV design, with HV Substations experience being highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective presentation of technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive approach to client engagement, driven by active listening, responsiveness, and clear communication.
  • Project management and bid management experience.
