Job Title: System Engineering Lead Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced System Engineering Lead Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, designing, evaluating, and modifying systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Your primary focus will be on developing system architecture, ensuring its integrity, and handling software configuration to ensure seamless operation across various customer configurations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and design systems consistent with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and modify existing systems to ensure they meet changing needs.
  • Provide technical leadership across a broad range of technologies, including LAN/WAN switching and routing, P25 Voice Networks, Paging Networks, Microwave Networks, and other Subsystems.
  • Oversee the operational health, security, and maintenance of mission-critical public safety systems.
  • Manage day-to-day operational priorities and activities of the operations engineering team.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for Network Operations Centre (NOC) staff, Field and Operations Engineers requiring technical assistance.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronics/Computer Systems Engineering or similar.
  • Extensive industry experience will be considered as an alternative.
  • ITIL v4 Certification is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications, Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Microwave Transmission Networks, CISCO/Juniper networking certifications, Microsoft/Linux certifications, SQL, and Tableau reporting is beneficial.

This position requires minimal travel (< 10%). Relocation is not provided. This is an experienced-level role with a referral payment plan available.
