About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at our Australind site. As a key member of our financial team, you will play a crucial role in the timely and accurate consolidation and preparation of monthly financial reports for our Australian companies, adhering to US GAAP and IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-end reporting - process and post journal entries transactions in SAP, ensuring General Ledger accuracy
  • Maintaining lease accounting (US GAAP and IFRS) including novated leases
  • Maintain inventory accounting, asset retirement obligations, rebate and other key areas of the business
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Quarter end reporting of key data and statistics to global corporate team
  • Year end – assisting with year end audits
  • Preparing the NZ GST Return
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual business controls, surveys and statistics
  • Manage FBT – preparation and lodgement of the annual return
  • Provide accounting support to Korea operations
  • Apply relevant Corporate Policies and Procedures
  • Improve business process efficiencies

About You:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 5 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, or mining environment
  • Knowledge of IFRS and understanding of US GAAP, particularly in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of GST and NZ GST and FBT compliance for Australian Corporate entities
  • Strong post-qualification experience in a production, manufacturing, or mining environment
  • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP) using multiple currencies is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite with advanced Excel skills
  • Desirable - Membership or working towards membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CA/CPA/CIMA)
