Job Opportunity: Youth Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide individualised support and care to young people in residential settings.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the safety of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities, as well as an understanding of trauma-informed practice.

A typical day in this role may involve:

  • Providing direct person-centred support and care to young people
  • Crisis intervention and ongoing support
  • Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
  • Empowering young people to develop skills and strengths within a therapeutic model of care

The ideal candidate will be resilient, committed, and able to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and sleepovers. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support and care to young people
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and interventions

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma
  • Strong commitment to the safety and well-being of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other professionals
