Casual Academic Opportunities
Job DescriptionAs a casual academic, you will engage in teaching and assessment activities. This provides flexibility and the opportunity to share your expertise in a supportive academic environment.
Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality tutoring and teaching sessions, developing and updating course materials, assessing student assignments and exams, facilitating interactive learning experiences, providing constructive feedback and support to students, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging with students to enhance their learning experience.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have completion of an AQF+1 qualification in a relevant field, strong knowledge and understanding of current scholarship in that field, demonstrated excellence in teaching at the tertiary level, and ability to deliver a student-centered learning experience.
Additional requirements include understanding of student well-being, ability to promote a positive classroom culture, and create a safe and inclusive learning environment, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
