Our organization seeks a highly skilled and motivated Horticulture Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about horticulture and has excellent leadership skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. They will also be responsible for following schedules and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion of horticulture requirements for the site.

In addition, the Horticulture Leader will provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices. They will also undertake hands-on work, including pruning and shaping of shrubs and hedges, plant and pest identification, and regularly inspecting garden areas to assess their condition and identify improvements needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens, excellent working knowledge of all the tools and equipment used at the site, and a current driver's licence. They will also be willing to obtain a White Card if they do not already have one. Strong communication skills are essential, as the Horticulture Leader will need to liaise with the site manager on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff to ensure efficient task completion
  • FOLLOW SCHEDULES AND PRIORITIZE TASKS TO ENSURE TIMELY COMPLETION OF HORTICULTURE REQUIREMENTS
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to the team to enhance their horticultural skills and safety practices
  • Undertake hands-on work, including pruning and shaping of shrubs and hedges, plant and pest identification, and regular inspections of garden areas
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens
