About this role:

You will provide authoritative advice on complex technical issues relevant to health research and priority health areas that informs strategic policy and service planning while undertaking analysis of data and information to identify future priorities and issues for Queensland Health that informs the development and review of strategic policy and service planning.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • High level knowledge of health priority areas; the health needs of key population groups; and key health system issues.
  • High level ability to source, critically analyse and interpret research and information to underpin strategic policy and service planning.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of analysts with varying skills and technical backgrounds to achieve defined project outcomes, while driving a collaborative working environment and developing a team to work at the top of their capability requirements.
  • Understanding of health service planning processes and high level ability in utilising frameworks and tools, and data collection and usage in managing the development of service plans.
  • Ability to develop health service planning data into actionable insights and analysis to inform health service strategies, roadmaps and BI solutions
  • Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups and build strong relationships with decision-makers
