About the Role

We are seeking an experienced GIS Consultant to join our team at Greencap, a leading engineering professional services firm. As a GIS Consultant, you will play a key role in developing and implementing geospatial solutions across various projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor the technical quality of work performed by the team.
  • Provide technical input to a diverse range of GIS projects, ensuring the work complies with quality systems and client requirements.
  • Undertake business development activities with others to grow the GIS Team business.
  • Design and delivery of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Coach/mentor junior GIS staff including business development.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in GIS/Geospatial. Post Graduate qualifications is desirable.
  • Solid and proven experience within GIS after tertiary education.
  • Competent and experienced in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
  • Experience in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple varying size projects.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports and GIS related outputs eg. web/desktop mapping, analysis, data management, scripts as well as review medium size project reports.
  • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Contribution to proposals and pursuits and seeking new business opportunities.
  • Contribution to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation.
  • Highly experienced using a range of GIS industry software.
  • Ability to follow company management systems and procedures.
