Lead Geotechnical Specialist Role

A senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned geotechnical or civil engineer to spearhead projects across multiple continents.

This role offers scope for growth and flexibility, with a diverse project portfolio that requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and people management skills.

  • Collaborate closely with regional managers on high-impact initiatives
  • Guide a high-performing team of engineers through mentorship, coaching, and feedback
  • Balance technical leadership, client strategy, and resource allocation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Support:
    • Mentor junior engineers and provide opportunities for growth
    • Ensure effective resourcing, workload distribution, and project delivery
    • Offer guidance to remote construction teams
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Lead or review design for tailings dams, heap leach pads, and geotechnical infrastructure
    • Contribute to construction and closure planning
    • Develop and review technical deliverables
  • Client Engagement:
    • Foster and maintain relationships with clients
    • Support proposal writing, bids, and technical presentations

Requirements:

  • Chartered Civil or Geotechnical Engineer (or eligible)
  • Significant experience in tailings, dams, or mine infrastructure
