This Behaviour Support Specialist position is based in Parkville, Melbourne, and is an ongoing, full-time role within the Victorian Public Service. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support young people who have been placed in custody, developing and implementing individualised plans to manage their behaviour, and facilitating group-based programs to promote positive change.
The successful candidate will have a background in social services or health, with experience working with justice-involved youth and challenging behaviours. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and colleagues alike. A Certificate IV in Counselling or a related field would be highly regarded.
The role works on a roster, allowing for additional staff benefits such as penalties, an additional week of annual leave if ten Sundays are worked across the year, and more. To be considered for this role, please apply now with your resume and covering letter.
