Technical Leadership Role

We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead our engineering efforts, overseeing the development and maintenance of our Payroll platform. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for guiding and inspiring delivery leads, providing them with vision and tools to drive innovation and growth.

About the Position
  • You will lead engineering efforts on our scaling Payroll platform, which processes billions of dollars in wages every year.
  • Mentor and inspire your team members, empowering them to iterate and scale our successful product.
  • Unify our teams through the creation of an innovative culture with effective ways of working.
Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop a strategy for technology transformation, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  2. Cross-functional collaboration - work closely with Product Management to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
  3. Team leadership and development - lead and develop a large, geographically diverse engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and high performance.
  4. Technical expertise - engage in deep technical discussions with stakeholders, ensuring compliance in highly regulated environments.
  5. Stakeholder engagement - build trusted partnerships with business and technical stakeholders, promoting software engineering best practices and driving platform excellence.
  6. Continuous improvement - identify and implement efficiency and quality improvements, driving operational excellence.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess strong technical leadership skills, a background in senior engineering management, and experience working in highly regulated environments. Additionally, you should have knowledge of software engineering best practices and be able to mentor team members.
