Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to lead our procurement activities and drive sourcing strategies that align with our commercial and operational objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a nationally significant program, supporting the full lifecycle of high-frequency systems that underpin secure and resilient defence operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic procurement activity, managing supplier relationships and driving sourcing strategies that align with our commercial and operational objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations, RFQ/RFI/RFT processes, and supplier performance management.
  • Ensure engagements deliver value, compliance, and innovation.
  • Develop procurement plans, mitigate supply chain risks, and foster collaborative partnerships across internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian Citizenship with a Defence security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Proven commercial acumen and negotiator, with thorough understanding of category management, supply chain mechanisms and risk assessment.
  • Proven supply base management and strategic sourcing skills in a highly complex and regulated environment.
  • Technical, procurement or commercial knowledge of assets, goods and services applicable to maintenance, repairs or overhauls of equipment.
  • Practitioner of procurement policies, processes and procedures related to category management.
