Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced control systems engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing control systems solutions for mining, mineral processing, and other projects.
  • As a senior control systems engineer, you will play a key role in building capability within the teams you work with by sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Control System Design: You will design, develop, and implement control systems solutions for various projects, ensuring they meet engineering standards and client requirements.
  2. Technical Proficiency: You will use your broad knowledge and skills to resolve complex engineering problems and provide solutions that meet project objectives.
  3. Technical Leadership: As a senior control systems engineer, you will take ownership of control system aspects within projects, where required, develop, review, and approve project deliverables.
  4. Documentation: You will independently produce high-quality technical documentation, including reports, specifications, procedures, and manuals.
  5. Collaboration: You will work closely with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, project alignment, and successful outcomes.
  6. Mentoring: You will provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth within the company.
  7. Site and Commissioning Support: You will participate in site visits and commissioning activities to ensure control systems operate as intended in real-world environments.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or similar tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in mining and mineral processing projects/operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency to work independently on control systems project work
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for seamless interaction with clients and team members.
