Director of Litigation Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned lawyer to lead our litigation team and contribute to important work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice on statutory responsibilities and service deliverables
  • Lead and manage the litigation team, fostering a positive culture and understanding individual roles in business outcomes
  • Prepare, instruct and appear in disciplinary applications, prosecution of summary offences, injunction applications and other enforcement action
  • Review, develop and drive complex legislative and policy change designed to enhance undertaking of statutory obligations
  • Proactively monitor and improve policies, procedures, work practice and management systems
Requirements:
  • Be admitted as an Australian lawyer and eligible to obtain a practising certificate in Queensland
  • Abide by the Australian Solicitor Conduct Rules and display high standards of professional ethical conduct
  • Travel within Queensland for Court or Tribunal hearings, with a current driver licence required for appearances outside the Brisbane CBD
