Opportunity for Growth in Emergency Medicine

  • We are seeking a full-time Registrar or Principal House Officer to work in our Emergency Department on a maximum term basis for 12 months.

This position allows you to grow as a clinician in a high-acuity, diverse, and supportive learning environment with access to world-class education, mentorship, and specialist rotations.

You will have the opportunity to work at either our South Brisbane Campus or Springfield Campus, both of which provide a dynamic and challenging clinical experience.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and manage patients attending the emergency department for care under the guidance of senior medical officers.
  2. Prioritise clinical care to maximise patient safety and maintain patient flow.
  3. Liaise with families, carers, and other health professionals involved in patient care.
  4. Participate in technical procedures within the department.
  5. Audit clinical outcomes pertinent to Emergency Medicine.

About You

To be considered for this position, you should:

  • Be eligible for General or Provisional Registration with AHPRA.
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant clinical postgraduate experience in Australia or a Country of Competent Authority according to AHPRA.
  • Standing as an ACEM trainee and/or prior experience in Emergency Medicine is desirable but not compulsory.
