Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong commitment to animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with patient care, monitoring, and treatment.
- Support outpatient exams by taking histories, vital signs, and weights, and providing client education.
- Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
- Collect blood, stool, and other samples, perform in-hospital laboratory testing, and prepare specimens for outside laboratories.
- Take and maintain radiographs following proper safety procedures.
- Patience and compassion when interacting with clients and animals.
- Effective communication skills to convey instructions to clients and teammates.
- Organization skills to efficiently track lab specimens, medications, patient instructions, workflow, and other job-related items.
- Clinical skills to administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments at the discretion of the veterinarian.
