Senior Animation Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced senior animator to oversee the full animation production for a 12-minute short film. The selected freelancer will lead the end-to-end animation process, from concept visualization through to final rendering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative direction, visual style, and storytelling approach.
  • Lead character design, background, and visual asset creation where required.
  • Produce smooth, professional-quality animation aligned with the film's narrative.
  • Manage scene transitions, timing, and pacing to enhance emotional impact.
  • Deliver a polished final cut ready for distribution and screening.
  • Coordinate project delivery within agreed timelines while maintaining artistic consistency.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in creating short films or long-form animation projects.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating technical expertise and creative vision.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard animation software (e.g., Toon Boom, Adobe After Effects, Blender, Maya, TVPaint).
  • Ability to manage multiple stages of production, including storyboarding, asset creation, animation, and post-production.
  • Expertise in visual storytelling, character movement, and emotional expression.
  • Strong understanding of timing, composition, and cinematic techniques.
  • Capacity to work independently on large-scale projects while meeting deadlines.
