About the Position

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Family Therapist to join our team at headspace Mount Druitt. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with young people and their families to strengthen relationships, navigate family dynamics, and encourage healthier responses to challenges.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective family therapy plans to support relationship building and improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to young people and their families.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each family.
  • Provide education and support to families on effective communication, conflict resolution, and parenting strategies.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or counselling.
  • Current full registration with relevant professional bodies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with families and children.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk, including a strong understanding of child protection issues.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and writing skills.
