As a skilled mechanical fitter, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and repair of crucial equipment within our mill's crushing stations. You will focus on key components such as hydraulics, gearboxes, and pumps.
By collaborating with various departments, you will ensure smooth production flow while maintaining our commitment to safety and reliability.
Your Key Responsibilities- Innovate and Fabricate: Utilize workshop machinery to manufacture engineering components, applying your fabrication skills to contribute to various projects.
- Maintenance Expertise: Participate in preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, and assisting with fault reporting and repairs to guarantee optimal factory operations.
- Developing Future Talent: Provide guidance and leadership to apprentices and trainees, defining tasks and performance targets while offering valuable on-the-job training and feedback.
- Collaborative Success: Liaise with team members on costs, scheduling expenditures, and assessing the economic life and performance of assets to drive continuous improvement.
- Detailed Documentation: Ensure all work orders and permits are accurately completed while maintaining timesheets and standard reports for seamless operations.
- Quality Assurance: Work within a collaborative environment, conducting inspections, identifying problems, and implementing improvements to ensure the highest quality standards.
