Job Role: Personal Care Worker Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work within a person-centred environment respecting the rights and needs of each client.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, dressing and domestic duties.
  • Assist with daily errands, companionship and support.
  • Provide support with academic, social or recreational activities.
  • Prepare food, feed clients and administer medications.
  • Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client.
  • Respond to emergency situations.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Individual Care or equivalent (essential).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges.
  • National Police Check (valid within the last 3 years).
  • NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Driver's Licence.
  • First Aid.
  • CPR Certificate (Valid within last 12 months).
