About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Consumer Finance Credit Risk team at Westpac Group. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting sustainable portfolio performance and delivering great customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake customer-centric analysis to proactively identify trends and emerging risks that need to be addressed, to maintain integrity of the Consumer Finance portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio reporting to provide actionable insights that can drive best practice risk management practices, to support better outcomes for our customers and the business.
  • Assist the Consumer Finance business in ensuring the product and customer strategies deployed are profitable and sustainable through quantifying risk vs reward trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with the Consumer Finance product team as a credit risk subject matter expert, to ensure business activities are aligned with our risk appetite and meeting customer needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in the field of analytics, data science, and/or modelling
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical field, ideally in credit risk
  • Strong functional experience using SQL, Python, and R programming skills in a work environment
  • Preference having SAS programming working experience
  • Experienced with big data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
