About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join our dynamic perioperative team on a Full-time basis. As a CSSD Technician, you will work on a rotating roster with shifts across a 7-day week.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Thermal disinfection inspection, packaging, and sterilising of all instrumentation for theatre and other clinical areas.
  2. Comply with AS/NZ standards 5369:2023, GENCA.
  3. Operate, interpret, and document all machinery operational requirements.
  4. Report and document all quality activities.
  5. Ensure priority of instrumentation and processes.
  6. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a CSSD technician in an acute hospital setting is required.
  7. Sound knowledge of AS/NZ standards.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation.
  9. Experience with tracking systems.
  10. Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn.
  11. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  12. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  13. Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS Office and various databases, with an interest in promoting best practice patient care.
  14. A focus on professional development.
