About the Role

Northern Midlands Council is seeking a visionary leader to oversee the operations of our brand-new Child and Family Centre, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of care and education, adhering to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • Approve and oversee individual and group child development plans
  • Ensure compliance with childcare licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Manage Centre budgets, fee setting, and monitor financial performance
  • Lead, mentor, and support childcare staff with performance reviews and training
  • Work closely with families and caregivers to enhance communication and child development
  • Identify and apply for grant funding opportunities to support Centre initiatives
  • Oversee the use of modern technology and facilities to create an innovative learning environment
  • Coordinate a seamless handover with the current Centre Director, ensuring comprehensive on-the-job training

About You

To be considered for this role, you must hold at least a Diploma in Early Education and Care, with a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent qualification preferred.

A minimum of two years' experience in an Assistant Director or similar leadership role is required, along with at least five years of experience in early childhood education.

You must possess a valid Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) check and a current driver's licence.
