**Home Caregiver for Children with Special Needs**

We are a busy family in Redland Bay seeking a dedicated caregiver to support our two wonderful boys with special needs.

The successful candidate will provide engaging, nurturing, and inclusive care for both boys, aged 5 and 20 months.

About Our Family:

  • Our eldest son is hard of hearing and has a rare genetic condition but is switched on, mobile, and full of life. He starts school in 2026.
  • Our youngest son has spina bifida (paraplegic) and is also hard of hearing.
  • Both boys love playing with cars, trucks, dolls, and especially music and instruments.
  • We also have a friendly 3-year-old Labradoodle who loves being part of the family fun.

Job Description:

As a home caregiver, you will be responsible for providing daily care for our children, including meals, naps, and playtime. You will also assist with early childhood development, sensory play, and learning activities suited to their needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)
  • QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • First Aid Certification in an Education and Care Setting (including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis - HLTAID012)
  • National Criminal History Check
  • ABN required
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Public liability insurance
  • Medical statement - fit for work
  • Photo ID

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate ($32-$37 per hour)
  • Part-time position (27 hours per week)
  • 8-hour shift (Monday-Wednesday: 8:30 AM-5:30 PM)
