Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Protection Manager to join our Centre Cost Base Business Unit based at Richmond VIC. The successful candidate will assist in the design and operational management of aspects of ICT security systems and associated infrastructures on the Nulka program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that classified project environment and its management infrastructure platforms meet current performance reliability and security requirements.
  • Assisting with planning design and implementation of classified project environment subsystems by utilising best practice approaches to develop test evaluate and install enhancements and new systems that meet architectural customer and business requirements.
  • Applying security patches to system applications and ensuring cyber security documentation is up to date.
  • Packaging delivering and supporting applications operating within the classified project environment ensuring they remain compliant against frameworks.
  • Assisting in the effective operation of network security infrastructure including SIEM vulnerability management endpoint security firewall network and host IPS and device control technologies across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Providing technical advice to the business and customers in the day-to-day delivery of services including responding to user problems and rectifying faults.
  • Providing assistance in developing sound and accurate security accreditation documentation.
  • Identifying process improvements to optimise service delivery and cost benefit to the business and customers.

About You

  • Extensive Systems Administrator or ICT experience including Windows 2022 Windows 11 VMware vSphere Horizon.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles technologies and practices.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards e.g. ISM NIST ISO 27001 CIS Controls and their application in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A current NV2 level Australian Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms ITAR regulations.
