Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Port Mac. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable members of our community by acting as an advocate and role model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans to promote positive behaviours.
  • Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework to eliminate restrictive practices.
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to build the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those who support participants in their lives.

Requirements:

  • Current suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Core or Proficient level confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Completed a degree-level qualification as an allied health professional.
  • Report writing experience.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement, and a genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
