Exciting Opportunity for a Junior Commercial Lawyer

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled junior commercial lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a variety of practice areas, work with a talented team, and contribute to the success of our organization.

This role will provide you with the chance to gain valuable experience in drafting and advising on various client and commercial contracts, as well as assisting with legal matters such as privacy and regulatory issues, employment law, and corporate governance. You will also have the opportunity to research legal issues, support senior lawyers, and deepen your understanding of various legal principles.

In this role, you will be working closely with experienced lawyers, including our General Counsel, Head of Legal, and senior lawyers. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, take on new challenges, and contribute to our team's success.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a mix of in-office and remote work days. You will be based in one of our offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney.

  • Drafting and advising on various client and commercial contracts;
  • Assisting with legal matters such as privacy and regulatory issues, employment law, and corporate governance;
  • Researching legal issues and supporting senior lawyers;
  • Updating the business on legal developments and providing training;
  • Company secretarial support;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Laws (or Juris Doctor) and eligibility to practice in an Australian state or territory;
  • 2-4 years of post-qualification experience (private practice experience highly regarded);
  • An interest in contracts and commercial law;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
