About the Role

As a Software Development Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical innovation and excellence within our organisation. This senior position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software development and a proven track record of delivering large-scale systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Python programming and its applications, as well as expertise in test-driven development. Experience working with subject matter experts to scope and define enhancements and new features is also essential.

You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. Your strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, modelling, and critical thinking, will enable you to drive projects forward and overcome complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of large-scale software systems using Python and SQL.
  • Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to identify opportunities for improvement and drive project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Contribute to the development of technical capabilities and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and/or the energy industry.
  • Significant experience using Python to build large-scale systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, modelling, and critical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
