Job Overview

We are seeking a Medical Practitioner to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Westmead Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients, assessing their condition and making decisions regarding their treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide expert medical care to patients in the ICU, under the direction of the Duty Intensivist.
  • To assess patients in the remainder of the hospital whose condition is deteriorating and who may require transfer to the ICU.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience.
  • A degree in medicine or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Experience in airway management, advanced resuscitation skills and central venous and arterial line insertion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development.
