About the Role

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is embarking on a significant transformation of its corporate services operating model and technology, positioning itself to become a truly data-driven organisation. Our Finance and Contracts Division is at the heart of this transformation, leading initiatives that enhance efficiency, promote informed decision-making, and streamline services across the PTA.

We are seeking two skilled procurement professionals to join our division and contribute to this change. As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will provide expert guidance on commercial strategies, manage procurement processes, and ensure compliance and risk management to support the Business Transformation Program's objectives. In this role, you will play a key part in procuring new technology essential for our transformation, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure selected solutions align with our design principles.

This autonomy allows you to develop and deepen your procurement expertise through various projects within one organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on commercial strategies, managing procurement processes, and ensuring compliance and risk management to support the Business Transformation Program's objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of contracts for medium-value, medium-risk requirements and may be involved with high-value, high-risk procurement activities under supervision or in a supporting role.
  • Support complex procurement processes and work collaboratively to deliver business objectives.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and/or experience of government procurement policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience relevant to the JDF(s).
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet shared goals.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills for effective consultation, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Proficient written communication skills for preparing procurement and technical documentation.
