Make a Positive Impact Visiting with Your Four-Legged Friend

Bring along your good-natured pet and spend time chatting with people who may be frail and elderly at our residential aged care home. You'll see what a difference your furry friend can make.

As you're bringing your pet into a care environment with frail and elderly residents, we ask that your pet is calm, patient and gentle in nature, up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas, and has short and blunt nails.

Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

We are committed to promoting links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements:

National Volunteer Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by us. We are seeking to fill a Tuesday spot, but would be happy to discuss your availability between 9am and 4pm for one hour visits weekly or fortnightly.
