Outside School Hours Care Coordinator


Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity to lead a Before and After School Care (BASC) service, providing trusted care and engaging programs for children. As an Outside School Hours Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing and delivering programs that cater to the diverse needs of children aged 5-12 years.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. You will be responsible for overseeing compliance and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of your BASC service.

Key responsibilities include leading a team of educators, developing program plans, and implementing policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring budgets, and contributing to the development of a high-quality BASC service.


About This Role:

As an Outside School Hours Care Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families. You will work closely with local schools, communities, and other stakeholders to develop and implement programs that meet the needs of children and families.

This is a part-time position, working approximately 28 hours per week. The successful applicant will have a flexible approach to work, with the ability to work across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.


Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or a related field;
  • Current First Aid certification;
  • A valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment;
