Job Overview

The Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the southern half of New South Wales. The district surrounds the Australian Capital Territory on three sides and extends to the Victorian border, encompassing the NSW South Coast, the Southern Tablelands, the Great Dividing Range, and the Snowy Mountains. Our district has 18 facilities, with hospitals caring for more than 200,000 people. As a major employer in the region, our staff are part of their local communities.

Goulburn is 45 minutes from Canberra, 2 hours to the beach, and 2 hours from Sydney.

Job Responsibilities

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide person-centered care. You will collaborate with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve people-focused quality care.

Selection Criteria

• Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct nursing practice in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups in the context of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the capacity to identify and resolve conflict situations by managing own emotional responses and interacting with others in a personable and professional manner.
• Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
• Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement and evidence-based practice with recent clinical experience relevant to the position.
