Heavy Vehicle Body Fabricator

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Vehicle Body Fabricator to join our team at Re-Car Brisbane.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing new components and parts, including the bodywork, onto the chassis of commercial vehicles using welding techniques. This involves assessing the vehicle's damage to determine how to perform the restoration work, ensuring the chassis crush is properly maintained & used appropriately, treating company equipment with respect, advising on additional parts required, co-ordinating with other workers in the workshop, and notifying of any product shortages which would restrict production.

This role requires a trade qualified individual with proficiency in welding techniques and metal fabrication, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, troubleshoot and problem-solve issues that arise, mechanical knowledge to assist in the usage and maintenance of tools, and an overall aptitude for technical activities.
