We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Toowoomba, Australia. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by providing support and assistance to enable them to achieve their goals.


Job Description
  • Provide person-centered support to clients in accordance with their individual needs and preferences.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Offer transportation assistance to clients, ensuring safe and reliable travel.
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families, offering much-needed breaks and relief.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress, monitoring their development and growth.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, prioritizing the well-being and safety of clients.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and industry developments in disability support.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of high school education or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in Individual Support or willingness to work towards completion.
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Availability for day shifts, night shifts, sleepovers, and weekends, accommodating diverse client needs.
  • Strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and its guidelines.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, acknowledging and respecting individual differences.
  • Basic care and first aid skills, responding to emergency situations.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
