At BAE Systems Australia, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality technical publications that meet the requirements of our projects, including safety and regulatory standards.

This is a great chance to use your skills in technical writing and authoring to drive innovation and excellence in our Maritime Technical Publications department.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce technical publications that meet project requirements and ensure all projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement technical documentation strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of our technical publications.
  • Collaborate with our Tech Pub Authors, Illustrators and Multi-Media experts to create engaging and informative content.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and processes to continuously improve our technical publications.
Requirements:
  • A Diploma or formal qualification in Technical Writing or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and authoring, with a focus on producing high-quality content.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proficient in using authoring software tools and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in producing Maritime Technical Publications is highly desirable.
