Job Summary

This leadership role is a key position within our mental health service. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of caregivers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for prioritizing and delegating tasks to team members.
  • Foster a culture of professional values and ethics within the team, promoting best practice in clinical settings.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in mental health, applying this knowledge to inform service delivery.
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to the team, including risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver advanced mental health services to clients with complex needs, requiring specialized skills and expertise.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the safety and quality of client care, working collaboratively with the team to achieve these goals.

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in leadership roles within community-based mental health settings, demonstrating ability to allocate tasks effectively and supervise a multidisciplinary team.

You will bring demonstrated expertise in delivering individual and group therapy across various mental health presentations, as well as being well-versed in trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practices.

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Nursing.
  • Current registration with AHPRA or membership with the appropriate professional association.
  • Current Working with Children Certificate and National Police Clearance.
