Electrical Engineering Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated electrical engineer to assist with BESS and PV solar projects in Australia.

  • Job Description:
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, controlling, and implementing electrical systems and products.
  • Responsibilities will include developing manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational standards, specifications, and designs for electrical systems or components.
  • They will analyze electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs, and develop a system plan accordingly.
  • Additional responsibilities will include product document and record management, creating and maintaining product documentation, including product reports and design specifications.
  • They will also be responsible for analyzing and interpreting technical drawings and engineering specifications, managing engineering projects, and delivering them on time.
  • Ensure that products meet relevant safety standards and engineering codes, provide technical bid evaluation for electrical equipment, examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs, and help prepare budget.
  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Define customer needs and requirements, provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Requirements
  • B.Sc in Engineering or a recognized engineering qualification. Additional certificate in design desirable.
  • 10+ years detailed design/engineering experience in 132kV and above Substation & Transmission Lines in Australia.
  • Experience in Renewable PV Solar Farm and/or large-scale Battery Storage projects (minimum 100MW).
  • Proficiency in HV substation design and Transmission Lines.
  • Good understanding of PV and BESS system design, integration, HV & LV AC & DC side.
  • Ability to develop detailed electrical drawings, calculation, specifications, technical proposals & reports.
  • Experience with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, DigSilent).
  • Understanding of power system analysis (load flow, short circuit, protection).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full Australian working rights.
