About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Counsellor to join our team in supporting survivors of sexual assault. This is a fixed-term part-time position available until December 2026, with the possibility of extending into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed clinical practice to support survivors of sexual assault and children with harmful sexual behaviour.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for young people and adult learners.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practice and evidence-based approaches.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in counselling, social work, psychology or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the impacts and dynamics of sexual assault and experience in trauma-informed counselling.
  • Experience working with diverse communities or lived experience of diversity including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, migrant, culturally and linguistically diverse and people with disability.
