Senior Mechanical Technician

The role of Senior Mechanical Technician involves overseeing the repair and rebuild of radiators and cooling components for heavy mining equipment. As part of a close-knit team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a small group to ensure smooth operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on mechanical professional with leadership experience to take on new challenges and make a real impact in the workplace.

  • Suitable candidates will possess a trade qualification in mechanical engineering (fitter, mechanic, boilermaker or similar) and relevant work experience.
  • A proven track record of effective leadership and problem-solving skills will be highly regarded.
  • Bonus points if you have experience working with mobile mining equipment or heavy industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To oversee the efficient repair and rebuild of radiators and cooling components for heavy mining equipment.
  2. To lead and mentor a small team to achieve operational excellence.
  3. To contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote innovative practices.
  4. To support and enhance the overall performance of the workshop.

Selection Criteria:

  1. A trade qualification in mechanical engineering (fitter, mechanic, boilermaker or similar).
  2. Leadership experience with a proven track record of success.
