We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Planning Engineer to join our Underground Mining team at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine in Western Australia. Key Accountabilities- Be a visible and active safety leader, promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the team.
- Deliver high-quality mine designs, stope designs, and other plans to support the monthly to two-year integrated planning horizon.
- Support the interface between the rolling three-monthly, three-weekly, and daily planning horizons, as well as the interface between the two-year integrated and life-of-mine plan.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve best practice in underground operations, as part of the Full Asset Potential and OE800 Business Improvement programs.
- Involvement in projects, including coordinating capital infrastructure projects and the rollout of new technologies and software solutions.
- Support operational execution of mine plans.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mine Planning Engineer with a strong background in underground mining and a proven track record of delivering high-quality plans and schedules. You will have a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or a related discipline and prior experience underground, with exposure to drill and blast and mine ventilation.
You will be proficient in mining software applications, including Deswik, and have strong analytical skills, a proactive work ethic, and excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You will also have existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia.
