About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Southern Cross Care. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our residents, while also supervising and guiding personal care workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote independence and help residents regain their confidence and engage in meaningful activities
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and qualified practitioners to provide proactive, person-centered service and support
  • Ensure medications are administered safely and on time, and report any concerns or adverse reactions to the Registered Nurse
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to Personal Carers as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge of best practice clinical care within the scope of enrolled nursing practice
  • Report any risks that may cause an accident or injury
  • Keep detailed records and ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Diploma of Nursing and current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse. You will also need to have at least 1-2 years of experience working in an aged care environment, as well as excellent communication and time management skills.

You will be able to read and write clearly, and have a high level of understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia. You will also need to have sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards, particularly as they relate to accreditation.
